Planning Permission

We are happy to confirm that planning permission has been granted for the construction of a new build detached house in Broughton, Hampshire in place of an existing bungalow.

Following discussions and working closely alongside the Planning & Conservation officers, planning was recently approved for the a new contemporary dwelling to constructed following the demolition of an existing dated bungalow.

The existing bungalow, whilst having a fairly good sized footprint, did not work with modern ways of living and did not meet the clients current and future aspirations.

The new house will be two-storey with a contemporary aesthetic whilst incorporating traditional materials. The roof will be have a slate tile finish that will partly wrap down into the walls. The walls are to be finished with a combination of vertical and horizontal timber cladding with a natural stone plinth to the rear and both sides, finishing at varying heights.

We are particularly pleased with this result at the plot in on the direct outskirts of the picturesque Broughton conservation area.
