Temple Ford Design was established in 2013 with the vision to have a positive impact on both people’s lives and the built environment that surrounds them. We offer a bespoke service with our clients at the forefront of the project, uncompromising in our use of up to date and excellent architectural practices.

From humble beginnings, Temple Ford Design has developed strong relationships with many local contractors and building professionals meaning we can guide your work from inception to the final touches. Our team consists of experienced architects boasting over 50 years in practice to qualified technicians and assistants who have studied the most up to date techniques. We come with a huge range of knowledge and design ability so are confident we can find the right person to listen and work with you in realising your project's full potential.

OUR TEAM
Matt Pike
DIRECTOR
Matt is a qualified Architect and Architectural Technologist and has also gained the qualification of an MSc in Building Conservation. His skills benefit the diverse projects we work on. He has experience in all sectors throughout the UK including residential, conservation, educational, industrial and commercial. He is committed to excellent technical and detail design and his expertise in traditional construction techniques or more contemporary technologies add depth to the service we offer.
Josh Clarke
ARCHITECTURAL TECHNOLOGIST
Josh joined the team in 2021 after graduating from Solent University with a BA (Hons) in Architectural Design and Technology. He has spent his life living in the Eastleigh district with an aim to pursue his aspersions in the architecture industry. He is now focused on gaining knowledge and experience working closely within the team at Temple Ford Design to gain MCIAT status. He enjoys working on a range of projects to learn about different construction techniques and to strengthen his problem solving ability.

Cherie Pike
FINANCE MANAGER
Cherie is our Finance Manager and brings in excess of 30 years’ experience to the role. She works closely with the directors and the architectural team to ensure the smooth running of all financial matters related to the business. Cherie’s versatility combined with a methodical approach to her work has resulted in a sound knowledge of working protocols and procedures within the practice.

Duncan Mckellar
DIRECTOR
Duncan has worked in Scotland, Nigeria, Saudi Arabia, and Europe and in 1989 settled in Chandlers Ford. With a wide range of experience in the private sector and commercial world, he converted a life-long passion in architectural heritage, to an MSc in Building Conservation and is a registered Quinquennial inspecting architect. A visit to the Grade I listed Francis Hotel in Bath will reveal his love of illustration and cartooning, and can be seen in the pictures, wall paper and glass screens.
Callum White
PART 2 ARCHITECTURAL ASSISTANT
Callum joined Temple Ford Design in 2022 after graduating from The University of Portsmouth with a BA (Hons) in Architecture. Originally from Bristol he has spent the last few years studying and developing his skills along the south coast with the ambition of becoming a qualified Architect. He has now achieved a Masters Degree (MArch) in architecture and looks forward to completing his Part 3 Qualification.

Pat Grover
HISTORICAL CONSULTANT

Pat is our historical consultant and provides a wealth of historic research experience, she is able to delve deep into the records and discover details about the built environment nobody else can find. She works closely with us to inform design work on heritage and conservation projects.
