This project represented the need for a local village shop that could provide an important and sustainable facility that supports the Braishfield community. The existing building was to be largely retained as is with the extension projecting to the side, forming the footprint for the shop.

The extension was constructed using a timber frame main structure with a brick base course to match the existing building. The walls above are clad with timber with insulated and double-glazed aluminium entrance doors and shop front windows under a canopy, formed by extending the roof forwards.
